We have services in both Wigan and Leigh but much of our work is carried out in the local communities we serve. The service is an integrated drug and alcohol service, delivering an asset based community approach to treatment. We specialise in harm reduction and needle syringe provision, psycho social interventions, opioid substitution treatment, referral to detox and community interventions.

If you are a first level Registered Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist who thrives working in a community setting, assessing and supporting people with their healthcare issues, this might be just the role for you.

Essential Skills
We'd be excited to see the following in your application:

• be a Registered General Nurse, Registered Mental Nurse or a Registered Pharmacist (GPhC)
• have successfully completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course and hold an appropriate entry on the NMC register or GPhC register
• be able to demonstrate OST prescribing experience
• be able to evidence your continuous professional development
• have a successful track record of delivering nursing interventions in a community setting
• be able to demonstrate your experience of healthcare assessments, care planning and key working
• be able to evidence peer working or working within a multi-disciplinary team, and collaborating with external agencies
• have knowledge of the issues affecting substance misusers, including the impact on their wider health
