Description

About Welbeck Cambridge
Welbeck Cambridge is a state-of-the-art private day-case centre created to deliver exceptional healthcare in an environment designed around the needs of patients and clinicians alike. As part of the wider Welbeck Health Partners network, the centre provides diagnostics, outpatient services and day-case procedures across a range of specialties, combining clinical excellence with outstanding service.

At Welbeck, we believe healthcare should be seamless, reassuring and genuinely patient-centred. Every interaction matters, and we're committed to creating an experience that is efficient, professional and welcoming from the very first enquiry through to treatment and beyond.

As our services continue to grow, we're looking for passionate and talented people who share our ambition to raise standards and help redefine the private healthcare experience.

About the role
Our Healthcare Assistants support the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate patient care across a range of specialist clinics. Working alongside consultants, registered nurses, and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will assist with clinical and non-clinical duties including preparing clinic rooms, supporting minor procedures, recording patient observations, performing delegated clinical tasks, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit.

What You'll Be Doing
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent healthcare qualification.
  • Experience working within a healthcare environment, with theatre experience desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively in a busy clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work alongside patients, consultants, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively while maintaining high standards of patient care.
  • A calm, professional approach with the ability to respond effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining mandatory training requirements.
  • A compassionate, patient-centred approach that reflects Welbeck's values of Collaboration, Ambition, Kindness and Empowerment.

About you
You are a compassionate, organised Healthcare Assistant who is committed to delivering outstanding care and service. You thrive in fast-paced clinical environments, with the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient and person-centred care. You understand the importance of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail and you consistently put patients at the centre of everything you do.
You are comfortable working independently within your scope of practice while recognising when to seek support or escalate concerns. You are effective with managing your time, prioritising your workload effectively, helping you remain calm and focused under pressure.
An effective communicator, you know how to adapt your style and tone, whether verbal or written to a range of audiences ensuring your message is clear and effective whilst contributing positively to both the patient experience and team culture.

Why Join Welbeck?
  • Be part of an ambitious and growing healthcare organisation
  • Work within a modern, purpose-built private healthcare facility
  • Join a supportive, collaborative and values-driven team
  • Receive ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Play a vital role in supporting outstanding guest care
  • Build a rewarding career within a specialist healthcare environment
