This role is 30 hours: Monday 8.30-5:00, Tuesday 8.30-5:00, Friday 8.30-5:00, Saturday 7:00-13:00.

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to join our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions, ensuring medicines, quantities, dosages and labelling are correct and meet required safety and quality standards. You will work closely with pharmacists and the wider dispensary team to promote patient safety, maintain efficient workflows and deliver a high standard of patient care. The ideal candidate will be a qualified and registered pharmacy technician with an accredited accuracy checking qualification, excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to safe and accurate dispensing.

• Five Hundred pounds after successful completion of probation
• Five Hundred pounds after 12 months of continuous employment, subject to the scheme terms and conditions

Main duties of the job

• Accuracy check dispensed, clinically checked prescriptions for HDP, H&S and vet dispensary.
• Accuracy check exported Bridge files against prescription prior to sending over the VBM or free service.
• Validate errors highlighted by the VBM and ensure the correct alterations are made, validate completed MDS trays.
• Accuracy check vet prescriptions for legal requirements and approve P-med sales in line with protocol.
• Follow dispensary SOPs and processes.
• Display high personal and work standards.
• Oversee the professional running of the Leedale Dispensary, deputising for the Pharmacist within your skill set and legal boundaries to deliver the best level of dispensing service to patients and branches.
• Support ACA colleagues to develop their checking skills in all areas.
