Mental Health SPA is looking for a Band 8a Team Manager/Clinical Lead for an initial 3-month secondment, with the potential to extend for up to 6 months, subject to service need.

This is a fast-paced, high-profile role within a large 24/7 multidisciplinary service covering all Mental Health SPA provision, including NHS111 Mental Health and MH UCR. You will be at the centre of clinical decision making, supporting staff with complex risk and escalation, shaping practice and helping drive meaningful clinical change.

Main duties of the job
As Team Manager and Clinical Lead, you will provide senior clinical and professional leadership across Mental Health SPA and act as a key day-to-day escalation point for complex clinical, risk and pathway decisions.

The role will include:

• Providing expert clinical advice and leadership across a busy 24/7 service
• Supporting Senior Practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team with complex decision making
• Leading on clinical quality, governance, audit, incidents and service improvement
• Working closely with the Operational Manager and Service Manager to respond to demand, capacity and service pressures
• Supporting and developing staff through supervision, line management and professional development
• Providing senior support following significant patient safety incidents, including PSII and inquest processes where required
• Leading and influencing pathway, policy and practice development
• Working with internal and external partners to improve urgent and crisis mental health care
