Job summaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician with a passion for digital systems and the dynamic environment of an Integrated Care Organisation (ICO). The post holder will be expected to lead on the further deployment of the FP10 Electronic Prescribing System (CLEO) into Children and Young People's (CYP) Services as well as supporting the Trusts established digital medicines management related systems.
The post holder will be based at Whittington Hospital but will be required to visit community sites to support digital projects being rolled out or requiring assistance. The Trust has an experienced Pharmacy Digital and Informatics team, managing a portfolio of digital medicines management systems within the hospital, which will support the post holder.
Main duties of the job- Responsible for the maintenance, development, and expansion of the suite of digital medicines management-related systems, specifically leading on the testing, upgrade and deployment of the CLEO SOLO EPS system within the CYP and wider sections
- The post holder will also be expected to support the Business As Usual (BAU) responsibilities of the Pharmacy Digital and Informatics Team (e.g., system maintenance, configuration, training, and account management) and support the pharmacy robotics systems deployed within pharmacy and at ward level.
- Support initial project setup (process mapping, baseline auditing, stakeholder engagement, training documentation, application testing, KPI agreements, etc.) for the pharmacy Digital Medicines Management System (which includes EPMA) and continue managing these systems.
- Undertake appropriate investigations and solution designs, and support and facilitate the implementation of medicines-related digital systems in new clinical areas (e.g., CYP, Community, etc.) with team support.
- Play an active role in the continued implementation and maintenance of the hospital's electronic EPMA system (CMM & CLEO) and other medicines-related systems alongside the existing Pharmacy Digital and Informatics team.
- Support clinical and dispensary duties when required and be part of the bank holiday, weekend, late duty, and on-call rota where appropriate.
Person SpecificationEducation / QualificationEssential- Pharmacy Degree - MPharm
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
- Member of the GPHC or NMC or any other relevant authority
Desirable- Post registration Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent qualification based on discipline
