An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced worker to join the Surgical Emergency Unit (SEU) as a Band 5 Staff Nurse.

On this unit, no day is ever the same: It is a fast paced environment that strives to provide excellent assessment, efficient treatment and high quality patient care.

SEU is a 20 bedded assessment Unit that provides urgent care and assessment for a diverse range of acutely unwell surgical patients. We also have an Ambulatory area with 6 trolleys and 19 Chairs, where we provide initial assessment for patients referred via their general practitioners or from ED. This clinic helps prevent hospital admissions whilst positively impacting patient experience.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of infection prevention and control along with an understanding of the surgical admission process.
