Main duties of the job
The post holder will independently perform and report a wide range of non-invasive vascular investigations including carotid duplex ultrasound, upper and lower limb arterial duplex, venous duplex examinations, abdominal aorta and iliac artery imaging, bypass graft surveillance, and EVAR surveillance scanning.
Additional responsibilities include undertaking ankle brachial pressure index (ABPI) testing, toe pressure measurements, and pre-operative vein mapping. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high clinical standards, accurate reporting, and excellent patient care within the vascular laboratory service.
The role involves close multidisciplinary working with vascular surgeons, radiologists, nurses, ward teams, and outpatient services across the Trust. There will also be opportunities to support trainees, contribute to service development, participate in quality assurance activities, and help deliver an efficient countywide vascular ultrasound service.
