Description

Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for ODPs & Registered Nurses to join a highly motivated multi disciplinary theatre team. Our departments are focused on delivering patient centred care, with emphasis on quality, patient safety and staff engagement.

Theatres are building a dynamic multi-skilled workforce and this position would look favourably at flexibility into recovery and/or scrub areas and an internal rotation across our sites.

This vacancy is open to all internal and external candidates. NHS Employees should ideally secure their manager's agreement for a secondment arrangement ideally prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis as it has been established to provide cover for maternity leave and will end after a period of 12 months or when the substantive postholder returns.

Whilst this post is advertised on a fixed term basis there is the potential that this post may become permanent in the future.

Main duties of the job

We have numerous specialities at WWL the acute site providing a 24 hour emergency and obstetric service with speciality specific elective surgery such as ENT, laparoscopic, orthopaedic trauma, urology and gynaecology. Wrightington is our orthopaedic elective centre and Leigh our day surgery unit.
