The Victoria Eye Unit is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Nurse to join our friendly team within our Ophthalmology Department and Ophthalmology Theatres.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career in a rewarding and expanding specialty, gaining experience across ophthalmology outpatients, day surgery, peripheral clinics, and specialist theatre services.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in ophthalmology theatres, ophthalmology outpatient services, or both. However, applicants with theatre or outpatient experience from other specialties are also encouraged to apply.

The successful candidate will be supported through a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing education, and competency-based training to develop specialist ophthalmic knowledge and skills.

You will work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the patient pathway.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in ophthalmology theatres, ophthalmology outpatient services, or both. However, applications are also welcomed from nurses with previous theatre or outpatient experience in other specialties who are keen to develop a career in ophthalmology.

The successful candidate will be supported through a comprehensive induction programme, ongoing professional development and competency-based training to build specialist ophthalmic knowledge and skills.

• Venepuncture, IV Bolus administration and Peripheral Cannulation or willingness to learn
• Provide and receive complex/sensitive information
