Tissue Viability Nurse SpecialistJob SummaryThe post holder will provide specialist clinical expertise. They will be required to work in both acute and community settings. They will provide advice and treatment for complex wounds.
Provide specialist education and training for complex wounds and skin integrity.
Working in line with local and national guidelines.
Main Duties of the Job- Work autonomously to provide tissue viability advice to patients, staff and families
- Undertake clinical procedures and wound/skin assessments
- Patient and staff education
- Dealing with complex and sensitive information
- Audit work

- Extensive experience with complex wound management
- Post registration specialist qualification in wound management
- Post registration qualification in Teaching and Assessing
- Working autonomously in acute and community setting
- Advanced communication and assessment skills.
- Significant post registration experience
Desirable- Independent prescriber V300
- Physical health assessment qualification
Essential- IT knowledge and ability
- Ability to work across multiple systems
