Job summaryThis is an exciting opportunity to help launch and shape Suffolks new WorkWell service in partnership with Suffolk Mind. As a Senior Work and Health Coach, you will combine direct participant support with day-to-day coordination and supervision of a local team of Work and Health Coaches, helping people overcome health-related barriers so they can remain in, return to, or start employment.
WorkWell is an early-intervention work and health service with a focus on prevention, which includes holistic support for their health-related barriers to employment. It will provide evidence based, low intensity work and health assessments that support individuals with their low-level occupational health needs to overcome barriers to work.
Main duties of the jobMake a difference you will:- Hold a varied caseload and co-produce practical WorkWell plans around each participants health, work and wider needs.
- Coordinate local delivery, support Work and Health Coaches, and help maintain safe, timely and consistent practice.
- Build strong links with employers, primary care and local health, employment, skills and community partners.
- Turn feedback, data and learning into practical improvements for participants and the team.
What you will bring:- Experience in coaching, advice, health, employment or community support, with confidence managing a varied caseload.
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
- Experience supporting colleagues, coordinating work or providing supervision.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience of providing one-to-one coaching, advice, guidance or support
- Experience of managing a caseload and working autonomously
- Experience of supporting people with health, disability, employment or wider social needs
- Experience of leading teams, coordinating work, supporting colleagues or providing supervision
- Understanding of person-centred assessment, goal setting and behaviour change
- Knowledge of safeguarding, confidentiality, professional boundaries and risk escalation
Desirable- Experience in work and health, vocational rehabilitation, employment support, social prescribing or community health
- Experience of employer liaison and workplace adjustments
- Knowledge of local health, employment, skills and VCFSE services
QualificationsEssential- Relevant qualification at Level 3 or above, or equivalent experience in health, wellbeing, employment, coaching or community support
- Willingness to complete required WorkWell, care coordination, health coaching and mandatory training
Desirable- Coaching, vocational rehabilitation, employment advice, social prescribing or health and wellbeing qualification
- Supervision or team leadership training
