Allied Pharmacies is looking for a Patient Prescription Delivery (Pay Per Drop) Driver to join our team at our Merthyr Road branch. In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients receive their medication safely, promptly and with a smile.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver prescriptions and pharmacy items to patients' homes and care settings in a timely and professional manner
- Plan efficient delivery routes to make the best use of your day
- Handle medication securely and in line with pharmacy policies and confidentiality requirements
- Provide a warm, respectful and reassuring service to patients, many of whom may be elderly or vulnerable
- Keep accurate delivery records and obtain signatures where required
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
- Work closely with the pharmacy team to support the smooth running of the dispensary
What we're looking for:- A full, valid UK driving licence with a clean or near-clean record
- Previous delivery driving experience is desirable, though not essential
- Excellent communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude
- Strong reliability, punctuality and a good sense of responsibility
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team
- Good local knowledge of the Abergavenny area is an advantage
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding
