PPD Delivery DriverAre you a reliable driver who takes pride in providing a friendly, dependable service? Allied Pharmacy in Riversdale is looking for a PPD (Patient Prescription Delivery) Driver to join our team and help us deliver essential medicines safely and on time to patients in the local community.
In this role, you'll be the friendly face many of our patients see regularly, so a caring, professional approach is just as important as safe driving.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver prescriptions and pharmacy items to patients' homes and care settings in and around Riversdale
- Plan efficient delivery routes to ensure medicines arrive promptly
- Handle medication securely, following confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
- Obtain signatures and maintain accurate delivery records
- Provide a courteous, respectful service to patients, carers and colleagues
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues promptly
- Support the pharmacy team with light duties between deliveries when required
What we're looking for:- Self employed candidate
- A full, valid UK driving licence with a clean record and own vehicle.
- Previous driving or delivery experience (multi-drop experience is a bonus)
- Good knowledge of the Riversdale area and surrounding routes
- A polite, patient and professional manner, especially with elderly or vulnerable customers
- Strong reliability, punctuality and attention to detail
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality when handling medication
Please note - This role is classed as self employed (£2.50 per drop)
Will be 3 days - 10 to 15 drops a day with potential to increase.
Working days can be flexible.
