Job SummaryWe are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join our team as a full time Band 6 CT Radiographer. Applications welcome from HCPC registered Radiographers with significant radiography experience. The department consists of 2 Canon Aquilion One Prism CT scanners providing a 24-hour service. Senior radiographers provide clinical excellence and assist in day-to-day management. Following induction, participation in 24-hour shift system expected. Rotation may be required. Training posts under Annex 21 will also be considered.
Main Duties of the JobThe duties include:
- To supervise, co-ordinate and participate in the provision of the Radiology CT service
- To participate in the CT service 24 hour shift rota as required
- To be responsible for ensuring high quality images in an efficient, professional and caring manner
- To support the Radiology CT/MRI Lead in delivery of service
- To maintain in-depth knowledge of current radiographic techniques and equipment
- To carry out intravenous cannulations and injections as required after appropriate training
- To communicate effectively with patients and all grades of staff
- To contribute to education and demonstrate teaching role

Person Specification- Work Experience - Essential: Experience in a wide range of radiographic techniques
- Work Experience - Desirable: Experience in specialised area
- Education and Training - Essential: DCR or BSc Radiography
- Education and Training - Desirable: Evidence of further education/qualification
