Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has come up at ASA Medical Group for a Practice Nurse. ASA medical group is a group practice working over 3 operational sites. Armthorpe, Intake and Auckley. The practice list size is approximately 20,000 patients. Our team consists of 7 partners, 3 salaried GPs, 4 advanced nurse practitioners, 2 minor illness nurses, 4 practice nurses, nurse associates and 2 healthcare assistants.
This post is for full time hours. Although job share/part time would be considered for the right candidate.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a practice nurse to support our existing team with all aspects of practiced nursing including:
Annual reviews for chronic disease management
Doncaster Wound care
Vac & Imms for child and travel
Women's health including cytology.

Car parking is available on all sites.
Job responsibilities- Cytology
- Chronic Disease Management: Ideally in Asthma, COPD, Diabetes
- Baby & Travel Immunisations
- Family Planning (incl. Pill Checks, Depo Injections)
- Ear Irrigations
- Wound Care & Dressings
- ECGs
- Venepuncture
Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Experience in Primary Care
- Experience working as a team
- NMC registered
- Commitment to professional personal development
Desirable- Smear Trained
- COPD/Spirometry trained
- Previous systmone experience
QualificationsEssential- NMC Registered Nurse
- Driving License to travel between sites and carry out home visit if required.
Desirable- Cytology Trained
- Baby Vaccinations
- Travel health
- Wound Care
- Previous Experience in primary care
- Experience in Systmone (although training will be given)
- This is the desired criteria, training can be provided for the right candidate
