An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and forward thinking pharmacist, to join the Infection &Immunity team at Barts Health NHS Trust.
The post holder will be well integrated within the Infection & Immunity multidisciplinary team and work closely with the other members of the team to develop the service
The post holder will be involved in the following areas:
- Provide high quality, patient centered, pharmacy services to GUM/Sexual reproductive health &hepatitis C.
- Lead on projects and undertake service reviews
- Have the opportunity to develop leadership, governance, and research skills.
- Contribute to education & training for pharmacists and other health care professionals
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will support the Lead Pharmacist Infection and Immunity in leading a team of staff to deliver a high quality clinical pharmacy service to all aspects of the Infection and Immunity speciality. The role will include being the sitelead for Infection & Immunity at the Newham hospital site and the Sir Lutman Guttman Centre in Stratford. The role also has specialist cross site responsibilities for Infection & Immunity pharmacy services across the Trust.
The post holder will be responsible for promoting a responsive, high quality, safe and cost effective Pharmacy service within the Infection & Immunity speciality in order to optimise clinical outcomes, minimise adverse reactions and improve medicines safety.

Person SpecificationExperienceEssential- Significant post-registration experience in a hospital based clinical post
- Experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide patient care
- Experience of providing evaluated information on drug expenditure
- Experience of providing a hospital based service to HIV patients at band 7 level or equivalent
- Experience in supervising and organising staff and work
- Experience of undertaking research, quality improvement or audit projects
- To have been involved in bringing about change to a service/department.

- Post Graduate Pharmacy Qualification or equivalent experience (minimum Post graduate Diploma level)
