Job summaryTo uphold a high quality FIRST Occupational Therapy, (OT), clinical service. Oversee the competency of the workforce and service user experience through clinical and case management and monitoring of quality outcomes though audit, data reporting, and quality improvement projects.
Main duties of the jobThe Clinical Specialist will form part of the management team and ensure that the Occupational Therapy clinical service is represented in all aspects of service delivery. The post holder will monitor and manage the interface and in-reach with transition cases and the community clinical service, supporting safe, effective and high-quality pathways of care. They will contribute to quality assurance by reviewing clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring occupational therapy practice is aligned with professional standards, service specifications and the needs of service users.

- Experience of using audit to measure service outcomes
- Evidence of managing staff clinically and or managerially
Desirable- Evidence of using clinical process and standards to inform clinical practices
Training and qualificationEssential- Diploma, BSC(Hons), or MSc In Occupational Therapy
- Evidence of post graduate training in leadership
Desirable- Evidence of post graduate training in a relevant clinical field
- Evidence of co-production in service delivery and or evaluation
Personal qualitiesEssential- Emotional resilience and highly effective communication style. Good problem solver
- Work within a team and deliver on organisational / team objectives
- Willingness and ability to travel between sites within the Trust, region wide across the West Midlands and potentially nationwide, as required.
