The posts are available to commence as soon as possible and are fixed-term for a period of 12 months. There may be the opportunity for candidates to apply for longer-term posts arising from this service development.

Main duties of the job
The weekly timetable will include a predominantly fixed job plan, with duties across obstetric and gynaecology services, including clinics, delivery suite, ward rounds, acute and emergency care, and theatre activity as appropriate to service needs and individual experience. There will be opportunities to gain experience across the breadth of general obstetrics and gynaecology in a major teaching hospital environment.

Hours of work are full time with on-call commitments on the ST6-8 rota of 1 in 11 including out of hours on-call. A delivery suite duty is 3rd on-call. The Trust provides 108 hours of consultant presence on Delivery Suite, offering excellent opportunities for direct supervision, support and training.
