An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced scrub practitioner to join our team as a Band 6 Scrub Team Leader based in our ophthalmology department. Expert knowledge of ophthalmology scrub procedures is required.

We are therefore looking to recruit motivated, hardworking nurses/ODP's with scrub knowledge and experience, excellent communication skills & a passion for their role and improving patient care. When working clinically we expect you to perform with passion and drive, provide clinically excellent care, and be supportive to patients, relatives, and other MDT members. As a registered nurse/ODP you will be expected to promote and lead the delivery of an excellent standard of patient centred care in a supported environment.

Person SpecificationRegistration & QualificationsEssential- RGN / ODP
- Level 3/Certificate of Higher Education or Diploma
DesirableExperienceEssential- Proven ability to lead a theatre team.
- Ophthalmology Scrub experience
Desirable- Expert ophthalmology experience
KnowledgeEssential- Knowledge of professional issues
SkillsEssential- Able to prioritise workload.
- Clear and accurate record keeping
- Proven ability to comply with detailed procedures.
Desirable- Able to manage a small team for day to day running of operating lists
