Main duties of the job- Monitor, assess, and record patients' physical and mental wellbeing.

Our Nursing team consists of 1 phlebotomist, 4 HCAs, 5 Practice Nurses and 4 Nurse Practitioners managed by a Nursing Team Manager. We are looking for a new registered nursing associate to join our Nursing team for 18 hours a week.

Job responsibilitiesThe Nursing Associate is responsible for delivering high-quality, person-centred care as part of the multidisciplinary team. Working under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse, the Nursing Associate will provide and monitor care, promote health and wellbeing, support patient independence, and contribute to the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate services.
The post holder will work within the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates and maintain professional registration at all times.
Clinical Care- Deliver safe, compassionate, evidence-based nursing care within own scope of practice.
- Assist in assessing patients' physical needs.
- Monitor, record, and report changes in patients' conditions.
- Undertake clinical observations and escalate concerns promptly using recognised escalation procedures.
- Perform delegated clinical procedures appropriate to competence and organisational policies and SOPs.
- Administer medicines where trained, competent, and authorised in accordance with local policy.
Assist with cervical screening, wound care, venepuncture, ECG recording, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures appropriate to the role.
- Work collaboratively with registered nurses, healthcare support workers and allied health professionals
- Contribute positively to team objectives and service improvement.
- Support the induction of new staff and learners where appropriate.
- Act as a role model for professional behaviour and compassionate care.
- Maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Comply with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies for adults and children.
- Report incidents, accidents, and near misses in accordance with organisational policy.
- Participate in clinical audit, quality improvement, and service development activities.
- Maintain active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Practise within the Nursing Associate scope of practice and Code.
- Maintain professional competence through continuing professional development.
- Participate in regular supervision, appraisal, and mandatory training.
