Bradford Hospitals are looking to appoint Band 5 Specialist Dental nurses part time to join our successful and motivated team in the Restorative Department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to expand their knowledge and gain experience in this challenging but rewarding role. The Band 5 nurse provides leadership and guidance to dental nurses. You will need to have a flexible approach to working across all departments Restorative, Maxillofacial and Orthodontics with the appropriate skills to work within our clinics.

Main duties of the job
Band 5 specialist nurses to work within the restorative dentistry service. Will assist restorative consultant in theater and outpatient clinics providing care and rehabilitation of cancer patients post surgery.

Job responsibilities
Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint two part-time Band 5 Specialist Dental Nurses to join our successful and motivated team within the Restorative Dentistry Department. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced dental nurses to expand their specialist knowledge and gain valuable experience within a challenging yet rewarding role. The successful candidates will provide high-quality chairside support for complex restorative procedures, contribute to the delivery of patient-centred care, and provide leadership, guidance and support to the wider dental nursing team. You will be expected to demonstrate a flexible approach to working across Restorative Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics, utilising the appropriate skills and knowledge required within each specialty. The role requires excellent communication, organisational and clinical skills, a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care, infection prevention and control, and the ability to support service development, teaching and the day-to-day running of specialist clinics.

• Restorative Dental Experience
• Maxillofacial Surgery Experience.

• The National Certificate for Dental Nurses, NVQ Oral Health Care Dental Nursing Level 3
• Must be Registered with the General Dental Council
• Qualification in Dental Radiography

Desirable

• Certificate in Dental Impression taking
• Qualification in Dental Implant Nursing
