Job summary
Clinical Nurse Specialist Paediatric Vascular Access (VAS) incorporating the Bone Marrow Harvest Service

An opportunity has arisen to continue to develop and lead on the Vascular Access Service and the Bone Marrow Harvest Service within the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.The post holder will be required to further develop this service as clinical lead and provide leadership and support with direct line management to the band 6 within the team. They will need to have enthusiasm and passion for service improvement, patient safety and ICP.The successful applicant will be responsible for patient assessment, line placement, audit, service development and implementation, education, follow up and surveillance.This role will also include in assistance of bone marrow harvesting and processing.If you are ready for a new challenge and believe you have what it takes to lead this service, we look forward to hearing from you.So, what are you waiting for? Qualifications & Training

  • Registered Children's Nurse RSCN/RN (child)
  • Current NMC Registration
  • Relevant accredited post registration qualification at Level 3 or equivalent, or willingness to work towards

Desirable
  • Qualification in Teaching and AssessingNon-Medical prescribing qualification
  • Evidence of master's level study or equivalent experience
