As part of our forward-thinking Hand Outpatient Team, you'll expand your clinical knowledge in hands and plastics, develop advanced assessment and treatment skills, and contribute directly to high-quality patient care. This role also includes rotation into the Hand Trauma Co-ordination position -- a pivotal responsibility that helps us optimise both outpatient flow and theatre capacity.

Main duties of the job

In this role, you will:

• Lead nurse-led clinics -- independently reviewing, planning, treating and safely discharging patients with a wide range of hand injuries and conditions.
• Work collaboratively across the Hand Unit -- complementing and supporting the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver seamless, high-quality care.
• Ensure smooth, efficient clinic flow -- helping to maintain a well-organised, patient-centred outpatient environment.
• Apply specialist expertise in wound care -- including plastics post-operative reviews, to manage complex wounds confidently and effectively.
• Co-ordinate staffing, clinic activity and theatre bookings -- playing a key part in maximising service efficiency. This operational leadership responsibility is undertaken on a rotational basis.
