Job summary
Are you a Physiotherapist with HCPC registration, looking to specialise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy? Or perhapsyou're looking for a change in scenery as a senior Physiotherapist?

Join our large and inspirational Adult Therapies Service at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust as a musculoskeletal rotational Physiotherapist in Bristol, working alongside other physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy technicians.

Main duties of the job
Within this role, you will rotate across a variety of specialities, including:
  • General outpatients
  • Trauma and Orthopaedics
  • Aquatic Physiotherapy
  • Pain management services
  • Fracture clinic
  • Gym rehabilitation
  • Pelvic health
  • Hand rehabilitation
  • Haemophilia
  • Occupational health
  • Rheumatology

Successful applicants will, autonomously manage their own caseload, working closely with other outpatient team members and mentor band 5 colleagues, therapy technicians and undergraduate students.

Essential
  • Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
  • Health and Care Professions Council registered
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development relevant to speciality

Desirable
  • Involvement in Relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and delegate
  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to effectively perform patient assessments and interventions, including manual therapy and therapeutic handling

  • Experience of supervision of other staff e.g. assistants/technical instructors/students

Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrates a breadth of experience across core areas at band 5 (or equivalent)
  • Experience of working as part of a Physiotherapy team and/or multidisciplinary team
  • Evidence of previous experience and participation in audit

Knowledge and Experience
Essential
  • Contributing to clinical education of less experienced staff, students or assistants
  • Experience of assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions
  • Clinical Supervision of students and assistant staff
  • Experience or knowledge of working in a community setting
  • Previous post-graduate musculoskeletal experience

  • Previous experience at Band 6
