Main duties of the jobClinical Duties - The appointee will be responsible for the clinical management of patients under their care, and, in liaison with consultant colleagues with demonstration of professional values as per the Good Clinical Practice
Teaching and Supervision of Junior Medical Staff & Students - The appointee will be responsible for the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff. Where appropriate, the appointee will be named in the educational contract of junior staff as the person responsible for overseeing the progression of their career and as an initial source of advice to such doctors regarding their careers.

Person SpecificationQualifications and TrainingEssential- Full and specialist registration in either AIM or GIM with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- MRCGP Qualification
- Minimum of 6 years' medical experience since primary medical qualification
- At least 2 years NHS experience
- Ability to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and qualities required to work as a senior clinician through workplace-based assessments, e-portfolio evidence, supporting assessments or testimonials from previous departments
Desirable- ALS/ACLS certification
- EPALS/PALS certification
- ATLS/ETC certification
ExperienceEssential- Minimum of 6 years' medical experience since primary medical qualification
- At least 2 years NHS experience
- Ability to demonstrate the skills, knowledge and qualities required to work as a senior clinician through workplace-based assessments, e-portfolio evidence, supporting assessments or testimonials from previous departments
