Job summary
An exciting opportunity to work within the Clinical Team at the South Wales Posture and Mobility Service. Developing and using clinical, technical and people skills to provide equipment solutions to our adult and paediatric service users across South Wales. You will work with the support of the therapists and other professionals within the wider service and work with service users of all ages and a variety of needs. Equipment provision ranges from standard manual wheelchairs, to active user and powered wheelchairs as well as buggies for younger children.

Main duties of the job
Use technical skills and postural knowledge to set up and fit manual and powered wheelchairs, optimising comfort, independence and posture for the service user.

Assist registered professionals in the assessment of service users for provision of both manual and powered wheelchairs across South Wales.

Carry out administrative duties as per department's guidelines, using the data management systems required.

Assist senior staff in delivery training as well as attending relevant training.

Qualifications and knowledge
Essential

• Relevant qualification such as NVQ level 3 Health and Social Care, NVQ level 3 Engineering, or AGORED level 3.

Desirable

• First aid
• Basic IT qualification

Experience
Essential

• Relevant experience of working in a caring environment.
• Experience of working with people with a disability.
• Communicating with people both individually or in groups.
