Job summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Pharmacy digital team as SACT e-Prescribing Specialist Pharmacist in Cardiff and Vale UHB. The post holder will utilise specialist pharmaceutical knowledge and IT skills, as well as leadership skills in ensuring the safe and effective use of the SACT e-Prescribing system across Cardiff and Vale UHB.

Main duties of the job
The post holder's key responsibility will be to build new and existing protocols as well as maintain existing configuration. They will manage the system on a day-to-day basis as well as develop and deliver training programmes for nursing, pharmacy and medical teams.

The post-holder will work collaboratively with Haematology pharmacy team and wider directorate to ensure that the SACT e-Prescribing is delivering the requirements of the service and patient care needs.

The post-holder will have a focus on patient safety, clinical governance and service improvement at all times, as well as maintain clinical knowledge and experience with regular ward and departmental duties, adjusted according to operational needs. The post-holder will utilise their independent prescribing qualifications as part of patient care.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential

• MPharm or MSc pharmacy degree.
• Membership of Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
• Post-graduate MSc/Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
• Independent prescribing qualification and registration

Desirable

• Project Management Qualification.
• Certificate/Diploma/MSc in Digital Health Transformation (or similar).

Experience
Essential

• Extensive experience of Hospital Clinical Pharmacy.
• Experience of undertaking a significant quality improvement or implementation project.

Desirable

• Line management experience.
• Experience of working with a SACT e-Prescribing System
• Haematology or oncology clinical pharmacy experience
• Experience of Project Management.
