The continued development of team members is one of our main priorities and we actively encourage and support GP portfolio careers. Our training practice in Brent has 5 GPs, 3 GP Trainees (ST3), 1 Prescribing Nurse, 2 Practice Nurses, 1 Prescribing Pharmacist, 2 Practice Pharmacists, and an excellent admin team serving 8600 patients.
We are based in new, purpose-built premises with superb clinical areas, staff facilities, meeting rooms and staff car parking spaces.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for a GP to cover 4 clinical sessions, which would include a weekly duty doctor triage session (once familiar enough with the job). We can offer a clinical mentor for newly qualified GPs with monthly supervisions as required.

Job responsibilitiesThis job is being advertised for 4 clinical sessions. Sessions are made up of 18 booked patients. These can be a combination of F2F and telephone consultations.
Emergency home visits as required, routine home visits for frailty patients and care home rounds.
Additional duties:General admin including referrals, correspondence, lab results, prescriptions and document processing.
One duty doctor session per week dealing with on the day appointments, queries and emergencies.
Attendance at practice meetings and training as and when appropriate
Contract/QOF/audit work as and when required.
Extended Hours sessions as required
Mandatory Training
QualificationsEssential- Experience in NHS primary care essential
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration (MRCGP)
- Be on the NHSE medical performers list
- Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
Desirable- Additional qualifications including training and teaching, clinical diplomas
