Job summaryWe are seeking an enthusiastic GP to join our supportive, progressive team based in the historic town of Tewkesbury. Church Street Medical is part of Inspire Healthcare, a group of five practices across Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Cirencester, caring for 34,000 patients with a diverse multi disciplinary workforce.
Ideally 6-7 sessions per week.

Main duties of the jobExperienced and qualified GP to work in a busy practice. 6-7 sessions per week. Days required are Mon, Tues Wed and Thursday.
Must have experience with chronic long term conditions.

Hours worked this day: 8 hours 20 mins
AM surgery: 08:30 – 11:00, Coffee 11:00 – 11:30, 11:30 – 11:50
PM surgery: 15:00 – 17:20
Visits (number): To be shared if paramedic not on duty
Tasks: To be shared in the Doctors Group
Sick Notes: To be shared
Prescriptions: To be shared
Time for admin: 30 mins each day on a non duty day
Nursing Home/Tewkesbury Hospital Duties: One care home once per month
Meetings start and finish time: Every third Wednesday of the month
Comments: 20 pathology & 20 scans
Mentoring time: Every Quarter
On Call DutiesStart Time: 8.00am
Finish Time: 6.30pm
Frequency: Two Duties & Two Dashboard (min) per month
Does this extend the normal day? If so by how many hours: Yes by one hour
Arrangements to take time back in lieu: One session in lieu per month on last Thursday pm of month in lieu of extended day by 1 hour 4 on calls/month

Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- To qualify as a General Practitioner (GP) in the UK, a doctor must complete a rigorous 10- to 11-year process. They must hold a primary medical degree, finish a 2-year Foundation Programme, and complete 3 years of specialist GP training. All UK GPs must be registered on the General Medical Council (GMC) GP Register.
