Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Pharmacy Technician in our Churchill, Canbury, Orchard and Berrylands Primary Care Network (CCOB PCN). We care for approximately 50,000 patients, based in four practices across the borough of Kingston; this role will be based at The Churchill Medical Centre and The Orchard Practice.
This is a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Pharmacy Technician with excellent communication skills to join us. We already work with a team of prescribing clerks and a clinical pharmacist across our practices and are keen to expand our team. The role will support the practice teams within our network to ensure the delivery of safe, effective and efficient systems for repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, reducing medicines waste and maximising patient outcomes. The Pharmacy Technicians will work alongside prescribing clerks and clinical pharmacists as well as with the GPs and Nurses based in the practices.
This is a hybrid role (2 days a week WFH) upon completion of probationary period.

The role will be a mix of in house service development with the opportunity for patient facing work and will require a commitment to improving health and putting patients first. Key qualities will be the ability to build effective relationships with patients, GPs, nurses, community pharmacists, hospital and PCN staff, and to work effectively as part of a team.

Prior experience working in general practice or a similar role would be an advantage, but candidates from all backgrounds will be considered.
The successful candidate will need registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician and have a BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences. A sound clinical knowledge and computer literacy is also required.
