Salary: Up to £45.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Respiratory Physiologist to join their team of staff in the Cardiology department.

This is a bank role working on an "as and when required" basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• You perform a highly comprehensive range of respiratory investigations including invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• You are a skilled member of the team within respiratory physiology and sleep sciences, working alongside specialist nurses, doctors specialising in respiratory and/or sleep medicine, physiotherapists and other healthcare science staff, such as those specialising in cardiac sciences and neurophysiology.
• You are actively involved in the scheduling of procedures, pre-admission, and pre and post procedural patient support.
• You comply with CPD guidelines and professional codes of conduct.
• You play an active role in the future development of respiratory services in accordance with the national service framework, NICE guidelines and local protocols.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• A degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent significant professional experience within respiratory physiology field.
• ARTP Part 1 and 2 or ARTP Professional Examination.
• RCCP, AHCS or HCPC Registration.
• Evidence of continued professional development.
• Experience within this specialist role is essential.
