Job summary
Croydon University Hospital is seeking a part-time Specialty Doctor in Restorative Dentistry (Endodontics) to join its expanding team for three days per week, ideally Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with flexibility and potential for job sharing. The successful candidate will support the delivery of Endodontic services, including the assessment and treatment of patients referred to the Restorative Dentistry Department. The post is well suited to Endodontic specialists seeking to develop their clinical, teaching and leadership experience within a hospital setting. Applicants should ideally be on the GDC Specialist Register or within six months of obtaining CCST.

The department has benefited from significant investment, including modern surgeries, upgraded equipment and a postgraduate phantom head teaching facility funded by Health Education England. Led by two part-time consultants, the service is committed to innovation, clinical excellence and continued development.

The Trust supports professional development through training and supervision where required. The post is subject to a DBS check, and applicants must hold current UK professional registration. Main duties of the job

• Assessment of endodontic patients referred to the department
• Treatment of patients referred for endodontic management
• Referral of patients back to the referring clinician following successful treatment
• Take part in audit and research at both department and hospital level where appropriate
• Participate in training when and if appropriate
• Be able to work independently

Qualifications
Essential

• BDS MJDF/MFDS
• Full registration with the GDC
• Inclusion in the specialist register for Endodontics
• A Masters or MClinDent in either restorative dentistry or one of its monospecialties

• Completion of SAC approved 3 years training programmes in Endodontics
