Job summaryAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a caring, compassionate and enthusiastic qualified Band 5 Staff Nurse (Registered Adult ) to work within the Neuro Rehabilitation inpatient service on Ward 3 , Walkergate Park.
The service supports individuals who have sustained an acquired brain injury, who present with a range of physical, cognitive, communication and emotional problems. We aim to provide a welcoming environment that is suitable for people who require assessment and/ or rehabilitation.
Successful applicants must have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality, safe patient care. Applicants should have an interest in working within Neurological care in a challenging but rewarding environment.
You will work in a highly supportive team and will be encouraged to access training opportunities to further develop your knowledge and skills.
Main duties of the job- They act as a Primary/Named Nurse within a multi-disciplinary team, developing collaborative, and needs based care plans, through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- They provide excellent professional, skilled and effective person centred, evidence based nursing care.
- They are actively involved in the health and wellbeing of staff and service users.
- They are visible and accessible to patients, families and carers working together to ensure efficient, effective and caring services.
- They contribute to achieving all performance indicators, essential standards and quality outcomes
- They contribute to the education and development of the workforce and students.
- They contribute to staff appraisals and support personal development plans.
- They safely administer medication following Trust policies and practice guidelines.
