Job summary
Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS FT (DCHS) is offering suitable candidates this opportunity to join our dynamic, innovative and supportive Physio / OT / MSK and FCP team as a Clinical Team Lead.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive leader to fulfil this post ensuring to maintain a positive culture and to support the highly effective and highly performing team within The High Peak locality.

DCHS is one of the UK's largest providers of specialist community health services in the UK and was recently awarded an outstanding rating by CQC.

Derbyshire is home to the Peak District National Park and Derwent Valley World Heritage site and is in commuting distance of towns and cities in neighbouring counties, including Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Derby.

Our MSK, FCP and physiotherapy services are working collaboratively to deliver an integrated service that provides accessible and responsive care to meet the needs of patients, GPs and the wider system.

We work using both face to face and innovative virtual service delivery models to deliver care to patients in the right place, by the right person at the right time.

Working Pattern: Mon-Fri, with flexibility in working hours, if required.
You will need to have access to transport and be able to work at different sites in Derbyshire depending on service need.

Main duties of the job
The position is for a Clinical Team Lead for the Physiotherapy, OT, MSK and FCP service.

As a Clinical Team Lead, you will be required to:
To provide clinical and operational leadership to a designated Outpatient Physiotherapy. MSK and OT team, including First Contact Practitioner. Including overseeing sickness, absence, staff wellbeing, training and other people management responsibilities.

To work closely with other members of the leadership team across Derbyshire to coordinate the provision, coordination and development of Outpatient Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, First Contact Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Services.

To take operational responsibility, in conjunction with Operational Leads, to lead, plan, deliver and evaluate the service and ensure efficient and effective patients management and use of time.

To clinically provide a high standard of Outpatient Physiotherapy or Outpatient Occupational Therapy (dependent on upon own professional qualification).

Qualifications
Essential
  • BSc Degree /MSc or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
  • Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration
  • Relevant MSc level training
  • Relevant Postgraduate Training

Desirable
  • Leadership/management training / qualification

Experience and Knowledge
Essential
  • Wide experience in a variety of specialities
  • Experience working as a senior clinician
  • Clinical education and supervision of less experienced clinicians
  • Experience of clinical audit and service evaluation
  • Experience of Service Development
  • Understanding of clinical governance and Risk and the implications for services

Desirable
  • Knowledge of the role of NHS Community Foundation Trust Outpatient Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Services within the current evolving health environment
  • Experience of leading team
