Job summaryThe Doncaster and Bassetlaw Children's Speech and Language Therapy Service is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic Band 5 or soon to be qualified Speech Language Therapist to be part of our innovative outpatient service and SEND schools service. The post is based in the Doncaster area but could go across the Doncaster and Bassetlaw health communities.
This post is also open to Newly Qualified candidates awaiting registration.
Main duties of the job- To provide specialist support for children with speech, language and/or communication difficulties, through assessment and intervention, in identified specialist school settings across Doncaster and Bassetlaw.

Person SpecificationQualifications & Training - Essential- Professional specific degree i.e. BSC speech sciences or Masters in medical sciences.
- Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
- Registered with the Health Care Professions Council or working towards their registration post qualification
- Car Driver
Knowledge & Experience - Essential- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with a paediatric caseload
- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with a range of assessment tools and appropriate therapeutic interventions
Knowledge & Experience - Desirable- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with children with special educational needs
- Undergraduate experience of AAC e.g. signs and symbols
- Relevant undergraduate experience of working with multidisciplinary teams
