Job summaryThis is an exciting 1- year secondment/ fixed term opportunity for an Emotional Health and Wellbeing Practitioner to join a flexible and friendly team working with children and young people in care to fulfil the Trusts responsibility to improve the outcomes for Children in Care and Care Leavers.
The job will involve supporting the emotional needs of the children liaising closely with Social Workers, CAMHS and the CIC Health team.
This roles is for an experienced practitioner from either healthcare or social care that have experience in working with children and young people therapeutically. They must have a specialist interest in Children in Care and attachment and trauma. The practitioner would need to have the skills to work with children who have highly complex needs and be flexible in their approach. The job will entail delivering brief evidence based interventions for the CIC cohort after a referral has been made into the service.
This is a temporary role of 37.5 hours a week, primarily based in BCP area. You will be supported by the Service Lead, Clinical Lead/Psychologist and Named Nurse for Children in Care, and Specialist CAMHS CAP team with opportunities for supervision, training and development.

The job will entail delivering brief evidence-based interventions for the CIC cohort after a referral has been made into the service from our key partners in social care, education and primary care or the child's foster carers.
To provide intervention at the Getting Help stage of the Thrive model.
To provide a high-quality person-centred approach to care delivery which always considers people's safety, privacy and dignity.
To provide specialist care and interventions, assessments, and managing patients on a caseload, as part of the wider multi-disciplinary care team.
To provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and care of service users.
To devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.
To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a range of settings.
Provide supervision, mentorship, training and support to other members of the team

Person SpecificationKnowledge, Skills and Training- Registered practitioner to degree/diploma level supplemented by post registration diploma level specialist training and/or short courses or demonstrable extensive experience in the relevant specialty
- Training in an evidence based therapeutic approach
- Training in an evidence based therapeutic approach
- Experience of designing and delivering training and supervision to others
Job specific experience- Experience at Practitioner Band 6 level
- Experience of specialist working
Desirable- Recent previous experience within a comparable role
Management/Supervisory Experience- Experience of providing clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/RESOURCES- Able to analyse data and produce reports using Microsoft Excel and Word
