Job summary
An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Assistant Psychologist to work across our CAMHS acute pathway, primarily based between pebble lodge and closer2home.

Your role with involve working closely with clinical psychologists, and a multi-disciplinary team, to support the provision of a high quality and inclusive psychology offer to the client population within the acute pathway.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.

Please note visa sponsorship for this role is unfortunately not available. Ensure you hold valid right to work in the UK and will not require sponsorship if successful.

Main duties of the job
To support and enhance the professional psychological care of clients within the CAMHS acute pathway; providing psychological assessment, formulation and psychological interventions under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified clinical psychologist and within the overall framework the CAMHS acute pathway.

To support and enhance the professional psychological support and training to mental health and non-mental health staff within the pathway.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collation and analysis of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

As part of your statement please describe a model for psychological intervention for adolescents in a CAMHS acute pathway service (either hospital or community) experiencing mental health difficulties. You may wish to discuss how a common model of psychologically intervention could be adapted for this client group?

Person Specification
Education
  • Hon Degree Psychology

Experience
  • Experience of leading formulation
  • Has worked within a CAMHS or other Mental Health setting

Transport
  • Can drive and has access to a car
