Help shape the future of Neuro services

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate clinical leader to join Long Term Conditions as Clinical Lead for Neuro Services. This is an opportunity to provide visible, credible clinical leadership across specialist Neuro services and to work with teams to improve pathways, strengthen professional practice and support high-quality, person-centred care.

The role forms part of the new multidisciplinary LTC leadership model. You will work closely with the Operational Lead and Quality Matron so that clinical quality, operational delivery and governance are considered together. You will also remain connected to clinical practice and support complex clinical decision-making, professional development and service transformation.

Main duties of the job

• Provide expert clinical and professional leadership across Neuro services.
• Act as a visible and accessible senior clinical leader for teams, patients and partners.
• Lead the development, implementation and review of evidence-based clinical pathways, standards and models of care.
• Provide expert advice and leadership for complex, high-risk or uncertain clinical situations within scope of practice.
• Work with the Operational Lead and Quality Matron to ensure services are clinically effective, well governed and responsive to patient need.
• Lead clinical quality improvement, audit, research, innovation and evaluation.
• Support clinical supervision, learning, competency development, succession planning and a positive professional culture.
• Use incidents, feedback, audit and performance information to identify priorities and improve outcomes.
• Champion co-production, shared decision-making, inclusion and personalised care.
• Represent Neuro services in Trust, pathway and system forums, building effective relationships across organisational boundaries.
• Maintain an appropriate clinical contribution, supporting highly complex presentations and providing specialist advice to other professionals.

Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.

Qualifications
Essential

• Experience of clinical leadership, supervision, education and developing others.
• Experience of clinical audit, quality improvement, pathway development or service redesign.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, safeguarding, risk and quality assurance.
• Ability to communicate complex clinical information clearly and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams, services and partner organisations.
• Ability to travel across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight as required
