Job summary
Are you looking for the next stage in your career? Do you hold an EMHP Post Graduate Diploma, a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, a low intensity supervisor training qualification and are registered with BABCP or BPS? This is a great time to join our service to meet the needs of schools and our communities in the Romsey and District area.

As a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner, you will be based within our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in Romsey, working alongside various mental health professionals. You will support in the leadership and development of the EMHP workforce and champion Low Intensity Working.

Main duties of the job
You will work in education settings and in the community delivering a range of evidence informed interventions and we are looking for someone who can adapt their low intensity interventions where needed for young people. You will undertake mental health assessments (including risk assessments) and interventions based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) model. The role will enhance the offer from the team in relation to Whole School Approach and focus on all associated elements to promote resilience and wellbeing across the community.

You will work directly with children and young people of primary and secondary school age, and in some cases their parents and carers.

In order to apply, you will need to be qualified as a Senior Wellbeing Practitioner.

Our neurological services offer rehabilitation and treatment for conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Motor Neurone Disease, Head Injury, Cerebral Palsy and Stroke. Across Hampshire, our community hospitals provide inpatient rehabilitation as a step down from acute care, and our dedicated teams also staff Treetops Sexual Assault Referral Centre in Portsmouth, offering expert, compassionate support.

Qualifications
Essential
  • Qualification from CYP Low Intensity Training Course (EMHP Post Graduate Certificate) supplemented by demonstrable experience working as a EMHP with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience (or equivalent relevant existing qualifications, skills, and experience prior to EMHP training).
  • Low Intensity Supervisor training qualification completion
  • Registered with the BABCP or BPS
