We’re looking for a Newly Qualified Nurse to join our Complex General Surgery team at The Harley Street Clinic, London, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC. As a Staff Nurse, you’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients undergoing some of the most complex and specialised surgical procedures in the UK. The unit supports patients across a diverse range of surgical specialties including head and neck surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, breast surgery, urology and gynaecology. No two days are the same. Working alongside experienced nurses, consultants and allied health professionals, you’ll build your confidence and clinical expertise while delivering safe, compassionate and patient centred care. What you’ll do:- Deliver high quality nursing care to patients undergoing complex surgical procedures
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care throughout the patient journey
- Work collaboratively with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes
- Safely monitor and manage patients during the pre operative and post operative phases of care
- Participate in learning, development and preceptorship activities to continually build your clinical knowledge and skills
What you’ll bring:- Adult Nursing degree or be due to qualify within the next few months
- NMC registration or eligibility to obtain registration imminently
- Placement experience within a surgical ward environment in an acute hospital setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to patient centred care
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and a willingness to learn within a specialist surgical environment
