Main duties of the job
As a Band 7 Childrens Occupational Therapist, you'll join an esteemed Community Children's Therapy Team in West Essex, covering areas like Uttlesford and Harlow. Your primary role will involve service delivery across universal, targeted, and specialist levels while collaborating closely with other Band 7 Occupational Therapists. You will supervise colleagues, support service improvement initiatives, and work hand in hand with various professionals such as Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistants, and fellow Occupational Therapists. Your focus is on providing high-quality, child-centred care through specialized interventions in various settings, ensuring alignment with evidence-based practices.

Job Introduction
We are seeking a permanent Band 7 Highly Specialist Childrens Occupational Therapist to join our Community Childrens Therapy Team in West Essex, covering Uttlesford, Harlow and Epping Forest.

You will become part of our awardwinning Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Service, where we are trailblazing an innovative integrated partnership model with Barnardos.This forwardthinking approach drives efficiencies and enables us to invest more time and resources where they matter most working directly with children and families to improve health outcomes across our local communities.

As a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in leading service provision across universal, targeted and specialist levels, working collaboratively alongside fellow Band 7 Occupational Therapists.You will contribute to the supervision and development of colleagues, support service improvement initiatives, and work closely with a dedicated team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Therapy Assistants.

You will be part of a diverse and supportive multidisciplinary team, benefiting from regular supervision, team meetings, and the encouragement of friendly, inclusive colleagues who are committed to delivering highquality, childcentred care.

Job Responsibilities
You will manage a mixed, complex caseload of children and young people aged 019 years, delivering specialist occupational therapy interventions across a broad range of clinical need.You will work across a variety of settings, including schools, community clinics and hubs, family homes, and special schools, providing a highquality, childcentred service that aligns with evidencebased best practice.

The Ideal Candidate
You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration and a minimum of two years paediatric experience, working with children and young people who present with a range of conditions.You will be innovative, adaptable and highly motivated, with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people within the local community.

With excellent communication and organisational skills, and a flexible, solutionfocused approach, you will consistently deliver positive, highquality experiences for children, young people and their families at every stage of the healthcare journey.

As this is a communitybased role, it is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
