Job responsibilities
As a Band 6 Health Visitor, you will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme to families in the Runnymede area. Your duties will include:

• Managing a caseload of families with children aged 0-5, assessing their health needs and providing support and advice.
• Conducting developmental reviews and health assessments, identifying any concerns and making appropriate referrals.
• Providing evidence-based advice on parenting, nutrition, and child development.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, social care, and voluntary organisations to ensure a coordinated approach to family health.
• Promoting public health initiatives and contributing to community health improvement.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and participating in clinical supervision and professional development.

Person Specification
General Requirements
Essential

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Midwife with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification in Health Visiting.
• Current NMC registration.
• Experience of working with children and families in a community setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme and current safeguarding legislation.

Desirable

• Experience of delivering group sessions.
• Mentorship or preceptorship experience.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
