About the Role:
We’re looking for a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our Pharmacy team and play a key role in ensuring every prescription is checked accurately and safely before reaching our patients. This role will be responsible for the final accuracy check of dispensed prescription items, making sure the right medicine, right strength, right patient and right label are delivered every time

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-volume online pharmacy environment, where attention to detail, a strong commitment to patient safety and the ability to work accurately under pressure will make a real difference to our customers and the quality of our pharmacy service.

This is a full-time, permanent role, based on site in our Leamington Spa warehouse. Shifts will be on 4 days on & 4 days off schedule, between the hours of 10am-10pm.

What you’ll be doing:

• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines against the prescription, in line with SOPs and GPhC standards
• Identify and escalate any discrepancies, near misses, or safety concerns to the responsible pharmacist without delay
• Check labelling, quantity, strength, expiry dates, and patient details for every item before release
• Maintain accurate records of checks performed, in line with clinical governance and audit requirements
• Contribute to a culture of learning by reporting errors and near misses through the appropriate incident-reporting channels
• Support continuous improvement of dispensing accuracy processes, flagging recurring issues or risks
• Work closely with pharmacists, dispensers, and wider operations staff to maintain smooth, safe workflow through the dispensary
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant SOPs, product recalls, and safety alerts
• Ensure the working environment meets required standards of hygiene, organisation

What you’ll bring:

• Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification, or Pharmacy Technician qualification with ACT accreditation.
• Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Previous experience working in a pharmacy environment (community, online, or dispensing pharmacy settings).
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain high levels of accuracy in a regulated environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced setting while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Confident using IT systems and capable of quickly learning new technologies and software tools.
• Commitment to contributing to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace culture.
