We are excited to announce there is an opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our OUTSTANDING Emergency Department in the heart of East London.

You will be joining a team that is one of the highest performing Emergency Departments in the UK, that achieves consistently good clinical engagement, patient flow and has an OUTSTANDING rating at CQC.

We are looking for Experienced Registered Nurses who have completed their preceptorship. Experience in A&E is desirable but not essential. Our nurses should be enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated nurses who possess excellent communication skills and enjoy a challenge.

You will be supported by a dedicated team of practice development nurses, senior nurses and a strong education ethos. We will deliver a key career pathway and emergency nursing specialty training in order to give you grounding in your career. We offer fast tracking on to an A&E course dependent on experience. Main duties of the job
  • The post holder will practice within a team of nursing staff, and have responsibility for a group of patients, assessing, prioritising, planning, implementing and evaluating their care needs.
  • You will deliver a high standard of individualised nursing care based on current sound research/evidence, you will not require direct supervision, and at times will co-ordinate an area, while teaching and supervising junior qualified and unqualified staff.
  • You will join a forward thinking multi-disciplinary team dedicated to delivering high standards of care in a diverse community. Applicants must enjoy a fast pace acute environment as well as having a keen interest in delivering excellence in holistic care.

Person Specification

Education / Qualification
  • Essential: Registered Nurse
  • Desirable: Post Registration experience

Skills/ Abilities
  • Essential: The ability to effectively function as part of a multi-disciplinary team in an A&E setting
  • Essential: The ability to initially assess patients; develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care
  • Essential: The ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing in accordance with NMC Code

Experience
  • Essential: Nursing in an Emergency Department or experience within a acute setting
  • Desirable: Emergency Department experience

Knowledge
  • Essential: NMC Code
  • Essential: Confidentiality issues
  • Essential: A level of nursing knowledge consistent with the standard required for registration

Other Requirements
  • Essential: Able to work flexibly to meet the service needs
  • Essential: Ability to be punctual and efficiently manage time
