As a Clinical Budget Analyst at ICON, you will be the key resource to analyze various datasets to forecast and answer, “how much will this cost”
What You Will Do:You will ensure vendor-related costs are forecasted, managed and are transparent for all clinical trials.This will require working with large datasets from clinical, procurement and contract databases
Key responsibilities include:
- Utilize study protocol and fair market value databases to complete long-range budget and investigator grants forecasts
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of vendor reports including quarterly budget reconciliations and global spend transparency reporting
- Lead 1-1 meetings with study team members and vendors to to align on vendor costs, invoicing and financial reconciliations
- Spearhead change control process on study design changes impacting budget including team buy-in and forecasting
- Manage close out process for vendor budgets including final invoice reconciliations, contract and purchase order updates
- Monitor the financial health of study, program or vendor (project specifications, units, invoicing, change orders, forecasting) and liaison with finance as needed
Your Profile:You will have a strong foundation in pricing and investigator payments, with the experience to work independently and guide others.
Required qualifications and experience:
- You have a BA/BS degree (Finance or Business is preferred)
- You have experience with clinical trial budgets or clinical trials
- You are a critical thinker and detail oriented.
- Proven ability to use multiple databases and large datasets (operations, outsourcing, procurement, fair market values)
- Strong MS Excel skills with background in modelling / forecasting
- Experience reviewing vendor budgets to identify cost drivers
- Exposure to accounts payable processes/systems including purchase orders and invoices
