We are looking for an experienced and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly, forward-thinking team for 5 sessions per week, with an optional 6th session available for the right candidate. With a stable list (4400), strong MDT support, protected administration and CPD time, and efficient systems designed to reduce unnecessary workload, this is an opportunity to enjoy being a GP again.
Clinics are 2.5 hours in length and consist of 4-6 x 15 minute face to face appointments and 6-9 x 10 minute telephone calls. You will support our two experienced Nurse Practitioners and have a GP Assistant working alongside you. You will need to be happy to cover the practice on a Thursday as the sole GP. The number of appointments are in line with safe working practice on all days and home visits are low volume (max usually 1 per week).

- Contribute to ongoing service development and innovation within the practice

- Experience managing acute and chronic disease in primary care
- Experience of clinical risk management
- Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
- Experience using primary care clinical systems
Desirable- Additional clinical interests (e.g. womens health, dermatology, minor surgery, frailty)
- Experience supervising trainees
- Leadership or management experience
- Experience in quality improvement / audit leadership
- Interest in service development
QualificationsEssential- MBBS / MBChB (or equivalent recognised medical degree)
- Full GMC Registration with licence to practise
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practice or equivalent
- Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List
- MRCGP (or equivalent)
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and appraisal
- Medical indemnity cover
Desirable- an approved GP trainer qualification
Knowledge & SkillsEssential- Knowledge of NHS primary care systems and structures
