Job summaryJacksdale Medical Centre is looking to welcome a dedicated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to our inclusive, well-established practice for 2 sessions per week.
Located in the heart of Jacksdale village, we serve a list size of approximately 4,700 patients. Our close-knit team includes 2 GP Partners, 2 Salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 GPA, 5 Care Navigators and 2 Medical Secretaries. We are further supported by a comprehensive range of PCN ARRS roles, including an ARRS GP, a Home Visiting ANP, a Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, FCP, GPA, Mental Health Nurse, Diabetic Specialist Nurse, Housebound Care Coordinator and a Midwife.
We use a total triage model with accurx tailored to our practice needs. You will be supported by digital tools including SystmOne, accurx, Abtrace, iGPR and X-on Surgery Connect and AI scribe software, enhancing workflow and documentation.

Main duties of the job- Provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical care.
- Undertake routine and same-day consultations.
- Assess, diagnose and manage acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
- Prescribe safely and refer appropriately.
- Complete associated clinical administration, including results, correspondence and medication queries.
- Maintain accurate clinical records.
- Work collaboratively with the wider practice team.
- Contribute to clinical governance, safeguarding, quality improvement and practice meetings where appropriate.

Job responsibilities- 2 sessions per week (ideally on Tuesdays)
- 15 minute appointments.
- Approximately 25 patient contacts per day including 30 min afternoon home visit slot, although this is often unfilled due to PCN ANP home visiting team support.
- Scope for flexible working hours.
- Dedicated admin time at 3:1 ratio with clinic hours.
- Admin time includes own generated clinical administration, alongside capped shared pathology and document workflow.
- Supported induction period to help the post-holder settle into the practice from day one.
Person SpecificationQualificationsEssential- GMC registration and licence to practise
- Inclusion on the GP Performers List
- Proficiency in SystmOne
- Excellent communication and clinical skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Desirable- Clinical Supervisor or Educational Supervisor status, or an interest in becoming one
- Willingness to participate in the Duty Doctor triage rota
