Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse/Midwife to join our team at Kettering General Hospital. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality, safe and patient-centred care, ensuring patients receive an excellent experience throughout their care journey.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care while promoting best practice and maintaining the highest professional standards. You will act as a professional role model, contribute to service improvement initiatives and support the delivery of evidence-based care in line with the NMC Code, Trust policies and the Trust values of Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage and Commitment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and clinical expertise within a supportive environment, while contributing to continuous improvements in patient care and outcomes. Flexibility to work across clinical areas may be required to support service needs.

Main duties of the job

• Deliver safe, high-quality and compassionate nursing care in accordance with the NMC Code and Trust policies
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised programmes of care to meet patients' physical, psychological and social needs
• Act as a professional role model, demonstrating high standards of clinical practice and behaviour
• Undertake clinical assessments, risk assessments and monitoring, escalating concerns appropriately
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support effective communication, care planning and patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to safe and effective patient handovers
• Promote patient safety, dignity, safeguarding and compliance with the Mental Capacity Act and related legislation
• Support service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives
• Work within own scope of competence, seeking advice and support when required
• Provide support to colleagues and contribute to ward and departmental workloads as required
• Participate in ongoing learning, development and the enhancement of clinical practice
