We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environment.
The RoleDeliver 3-hour initial assessment with report (non EHCNA)
Promote an inclusive approach
Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce report as required
About YouWe're looking for someone who has experience of working with children and young people who present with:
- ADHD
- Developmental Coordination Disorder
- Language Disorder effecting receptive and expressive language skills
- Challenges with inference and verbal reasoning
- Difficulties producing multisyllable words accurately
- Social communication challenges
- Movement seeking and lack of maintaining attention
- Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities
What We Offer- £70 per hour
- £40 per hour travel time
- 55p per mile mileage
- Flexible working arrangements agreed between the therapist, school, family and young person.

This is a critical role with a September start, and we are keen to hear from Speech and Language Therapists who are passionate about helping children and young people achieve meaningful outcomes through person-centred, evidence-based practice.
