Job summary
We are an 11,000 patient population practice based mainly in the beautiful village of Lymm Cheshire. We are offering the opportunity to work across two sites to support our practice nurse and GP teams. We are looking for 10 to 20 hours with flexibility for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the HCA will be to support our nursing team to provide BP checks, ECGs and deliver NHS Health Checks and any other duties appropriate for the role including management of clinical stock.

About us
We are a very friendly and supportive practice with three GP partners and currently have two experienced very practice nurses, and a well established management team.

Job responsibilities

• To work as an effective member of the primary care team, providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare support to patients attending the Practice.
• The Healthcare Assistant will undertake a range of clinical and administrative duties under the direction and supervision of appropriately qualified clinical staff, working within their level of competence, training and experience.
• The post holder will contribute to the delivery of safe, effective and efficient patient care and support the Practice in meeting its clinical, safeguarding, infection prevention and quality requirements.

Qualifications
Essential

• Qualified to NVQ level 2 in health and social care
• Previous experience of working within the role of HCA

Desirable

• Qualified in Phlebotomy
• Qualified in undertaking NHS health checks

Experience
Desirable

• Experience of working in a GP Practice
